Tube Stretching Systems
Heated-jaw necking, tube handling and controlled forming operations.
Necking Operations – during the necking operation, the tube is positioned and clamped in the necking station. Heated jaws extend to warm and soften the tube at the required location, then retract once the correct temperature is reached. Necking tools then move in to reduce the tube diameter, forming a neck at one end (single necking) or both ends (double necking). The formed tube is held briefly to cool and retain its shape before the tooling retracts and the tube is transferred automatically to the next stage of the balloon forming process.
