Modular Belt Conveyors

Interlocking plastic belt systems configured for product flow, access and maintenance.

Modular Belt Conveyors — illustrative equipment concept

A Modular Belt Matched To Your Production Process

Interlocking plastic belt sections create a carrying surface selected around the product, line layout and cleaning requirements. Straight, curved or inclined routes are considered where supported by the chosen belt system. CPS coordinates belt selection, frame layout, guides, drainage and machine interfaces as part of the complete conveyor. Material suitability and any food contact or washdown requirements are confirmed for the components specified.

Useful To Know

Are modular belts and plastic-chain conveyors the same?

They are related conveyor technologies with different belt or chain constructions and application choices. CPS can compare a wide modular belt with a narrow plastic-chain system for the product and layout.

Is every plastic belt suitable for washdown or food contact?

Suitability depends on the belt material, frame, bearings, drive and cleaning regime. CPS agrees those requirements before specifying the complete system.

Surface Selection

Review closed, open or other appropriate belt surfaces against the product and cleaning process.

Access And Maintenance

Consider access to the belt, wear components and drive as part of the equipment layout.

A Connected Line

Coordinate guides, transitions, working heights and controls with the surrounding machinery.
